Help Cut Hunger on Weekends

Helping Hands and Skagit Transit are Stuffing The Bus to help feed the community.

Due to new safety protocols surrounding the Delta variant, we have made the tough decision to change the Stuff the Bus Food Drive to a virtual event.

There will be a drop-off bin available Monday, August 16th through Saturday, August 21st from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the front gate of our building at 9386 Fruitdale Rd, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284 for anyone who would like to make a food donation.

CUTTING HUNGER ON WEEKENDS (C.H.O.W.) PROGRAM

Over 10,000 kids in Skagit County are on the free and reduced lunch program. Through C.H.O.W. we are able to provide food to over 2,000 kids each week across Skagit County.

The following essential CHOW items are needed:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Kid Friendly Soup (with pop top openings)
  • Cans of Chili
  • Canned Tuna/Canned Protein
  • Granola Bars

Are you the next CHOW Champion?

The organization, business or service group that brings in the most pounds in donations will be crowned CHOW Champion! Monetary donations also count towards the goal: $1 = 25 pounds

For those participating in the C.H.O.W. Champion Challenge, please give us a call at (360) 856-2211 to schedule an appointment to drop off your donations.
